MISTLETOE MANOR SYNOPSIS
|
Estranged from his family for years, Cody Cooper returns to his family homestead for his mother’s funeral. Upon his arrival, Cody is welcomed home by Hope Walker, a ranch hand he has known since they were children. However, Cody’s reunion with his stepbrother Trevor Morgan is lukewarm at best.
After the funeral, Cody notices a tender moment between Trevor and Hope, leading him to assume they are in a relationship. As a result, he decides to keep his distance from Hope at the same time as ranch manager Agnes works to bring Hope and Cody together. Cody and Trevor finally confront one another and put the past behind them, fondly recalling how their mother Loretta referred to them as her “Mistletoe Men” during the Christmas season. At the same time, Hope begins work on a special project that Loretta commissioned just before her death. Cody slowly warms to the idea of making the ranch his permanent home once again. However, when he overhears Trevor discussing a wedding proposal, Cody assumes his brother plans to marry Hope. As a result, Cody leaves the ranch just as Donna Peterson, Trevor’s girlfriend, arrives. After reading a letter that Loretta wrote to him years earlier, Cody realizes his future is with Hope and returns to the ranch where Hope introduces him to Donna, who has just agreed to marry Trevor. As Christmas arrives, Cody and Hope declare their love for each other and Hope unveils the special project she completed at Loretta’s request: a sculpture of Loretta and her “Mistletoe Men.” |
